Patrick Joseph Earley, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died, Monday, May 21, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Services, 11 a.m., Thursday at Teahen Funeral Home by Rev. Dustin Vu. Military honors presented by American Legion Post #727. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday after 10 a.m.
Patrick is survived by his wife Linda; two brothers, Mike (Mary) of Key Largo, Florida, and John (Patricia) of Naples, Florida; sister-in- law, Kathleen McNamara of Fairfax; brother-in- law, David McNamara of Fairfax; nieces and nephews, Michele Barlow, Kathleen (Paul) Simpson, Elizabeth (Jason) Rieskamp, Suzanne (Terry) Lecuru, Christine Earley, Katie Earley (Ron Corbin) and Matthew Earley, Jeremy, Rachael, Bryce, Andrea, Alex, Annmarie, Aiden, Corine, Calli, Arie, and Braylen, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews from the McNamara family, Phaedra, Jennifer, Jolene and Justine.

Patrick was born June 19, 1947, the son of Joseph and Margaret Maxwell Earley. He grew up in Cedar Rapids and attended St. Patrick and Taylor schools before graduating from La Salle High School. Patrick graduated from NIAC JR College in Mason City in 1968. He served in the US Navy and served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. Patrick married Linda Ann McNamara on August 12, 1972 in Fairfax. He worked at Cohn & Sons, Seger Automotive, F & W Mack Trucks, Allen Motor Company, Lefebure Corporation, Collins Radio, Peoples Bank and Trust, Nelson Product and Supplies, Horizon Products and Supplies, and most recently Hawkeye Materials Handling.
Patrick was a campaign worker for U.S. Congressman and was a volunteer worker for the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce Charities. He enjoyed oil-painting-design, and automotive restoration.
