e ultimately settling on a farm in rural Rockford. For most of her married life Dorothy was a homemaker except for a few years when she worked at the Mode-O-Day factory in Mason City.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening and reading but most of all her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Linda Lovik, of Iowa City, and Janet (Dennis) of Haller, Decorah; 4 grandchildren, Nate Lovik, of Wilmington, Delaware, Jackie (Curtis) Sexton, of Riverside, Iowa, Josh (Sarah) Lovik, of Iowa City, and Kate (Jon) Ailabouni, of St. Paul, Minnesota; 5 great grandchildren, Keegan and Kyler Sexton, Mady and Jack Lovik and Claire Ailabouni. She is also survived by sisters, Edna Lemons, Neillsville, Wis and Betty Clay, of Duncombe, Iowa.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Bass; parents, Guy and Pearl Trask; brother, Raymond Trask; son-in-law, Stephen Lovik; grandson, Luke Haller; three brothers-in-law, Lawrence Lemons, Emmett Clay and Eldon Bass; sister-in-law, Freda Bass.
