h began to fail. Glendora worked for RCA as a Supervisor and the Veteran Affairs Hospital in the Dietary Department. She retired from the VA Hospital on Cold Springs Road. Glendora enjoyed traveling and would often take trips to visit family. She also went on cruises and took one of her most memorable trips to Hawaii in October of 2012. Glendora enjoyed hosting and cooking Christmas dinners for her family at her house for many years. In her later years, she enjoyed spending holidays at her sister, Jackie Cunningham's home. Glendora enjoyed playing cards with her family and participating in the Bid Whist tournaments at the Jones/Sparks family reunions, often helping the North win. She thoroughly enjoyed herself at her 90th Birthday Party celebration this past December where she laughed and greeted many of her family and friends. Glendora went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 21, 2018, with her granddaughter, Monique Jones at her side. She was cared for at home by her daughter, Sandra Minor, her granddaughter, Monica Jones, and her caregiver, Shawna Luckett. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Robert Lee Hayes, two daughters, Sandra Minor, Johnetta Dozier, four grandchildren, Monica Jones, Shawn Minor, Monique Jones, Desmond Dozier, one great grandchild, Mason Clay, one brother, Lester Gibson, and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves her play daughter, Dora Harding, and her family.
