Survivors include: his wife of 69 years, Donna; two daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Mikita of Waterloo and Terri Bearbower of Chattanooga, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Mikaela (Scott) Bachinski of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Stefanie (Javier) Melendez of Apison, Tennessee, Brandi Wagner of Waterloo and Jeff (Jenny) Wittwer of Olathe, Kansas; ten great grandchildren, Kennedi, Riley, Kaiden, Emma, Drake, Reese, Christian, Sofia, Lola and Gracyn; two nieces, Dorothy (Ray) Munger of Waterloo and Candy (Dean) Woodson of Olathe, Kansas; and two nephews, Ricky (Diane) German of Meadville, Missouri and Jim German of Nevada, Missouri. Preceded in death by: his parents; and two sisters, Mildred Warner and Joyce Hinton. A private service will be held Thursday with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19, Evansdale Amvets Post 31 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard. Public visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
