Carla K. Kennedy, 61, of La Porte City, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She was born September 4, 1956 in Waterloo the daughter of Arthur and Pearl Marshall Jungling. She was a graduate of La Porte City High School.
She married Kenneth L. Kennedy on April 16, 1977 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2008.
Carla worked as a clerk for Greyhound Park and also had been a teller at the Kentucky Derby. She attended Heartland Community Church in La Porte City.
Survived by: two sons, Jeremy (Beth) of La Porte City, Justin (Kendra) of Luana; a daughter, Kayla (Trent Clapp) Kennedy of La Porte City; four grandchildren, Tyler, Alex (Amanda), Cadynce and Noelle; five brothers, Cliff (Nancy) McFarland of La Porte City, Dennis (Marie) McFarland of Brandon, Darryl (Lorraine) McFarland of La Porte City, Jim (Deb) Jungling of La Porte City, Bill (Deb) Jungling of La Porte City; one sister, Sue (Tim) Kelly of Waterloo and her mother-in-law, Geraldine Kennedy of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one brother, John McFarland and her father-in-law, Donald Kennedy.
