Philharmonic Orchestra and Choralfest during her husband's tenure.
Beverley lived her life surrounded by music and musicians. She rarely missed a performance in which her husband was involved, and vigilantly managed the musical studies of her children. A proficient musician in her own right, she deflected any question of her musicianship by stating simply that she was a "professional listener." Her seemingly unending capacity to put others center stage while offering encouragement and support was her most defining characteristic.
In addition to being thought of as a compassionate and generous person, Beverley will be remembered as a voracious reader, a gracious hostess, and a superb cook. Her physical beauty was surpassed only by her warm and magnetic spirit.
Beverley was preceded in death by her parents and older sister. She is survived by her husband, three children and their spouses, five grandchildren, her brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In recognition of her request, a private family service will take place at her beloved Lake Michigan later this summer.
