Ocella later in life enjoyed going to her Ceramic classes, and loved giving them away for others to enjoy. She will be known for her good cooking and baking skills. She will be remembered for her amazing pies that she made for her family and friends. Ocella's memory will live on through The Ladybug in Clear Lake that was dedicated to her. Many of her recipes are used at the Ladybug.
She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Women's Circle.
Ocella is survived by her three children, Linda Schlicht, Craig Ruby, and Scott (Wendy) Ruby; eight grandchildren, Jessica Ruby, Stephanie (Sam Nordstrom) Ruby, Christopher (Tiffany) Muegge, Craig (Anna) Muegge, Allison (Aaron) Gregory, Rebecca (Nathan) Barney, Melissa (Greg) Dunn and Jessica (Mike) Stosich; two great grandchildren and twenty step great grandchildren; two sisters, June Nitcher, JoAnn Harley and many extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell Ruby; grandson, Nathan Holstad, the son of Craig Ruby; sister, Eileen.
