Ella Mae Van Eyk, 93, of Dania Beach, FL passed away on May 31, 2018. Born in Bridgeton, NJ to Allison and Goldie Leeds, she was raised in South Florida. Ella was a talented artist, blessed with a green thumb, and a true animal lover. As a volunteer for American Legion and the VA, she dedicated over 30 years to assisting veterans. Along with her husband, Ernest, the Van Eyks were part-time residents of Michigan for many years until Ernest's passing.
Ella is survived by her daughter, Sandra Morris; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Van Eyk; grandchildren, John and Leslie Morris, Monica (Aaron) Marcum, and Jesse (Tara) Van Eyk; great grandchildren, Nicole, Daniel (Tatiana), and Shane; and great great grandson, Christopher. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law, Helen Fischer and her family. Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Van Eyk; her son, Ronald Van Eyk; and son-in-law, John Morris.
Ella will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with her husband.
