tein, Germany; and a couple other places we can't remember. Joan liked to travel and visited almost every state with extra trips to Hawaii for an occasional vacation. While living in Germany she had visited England, Spain, France, Italy, and Russia; occasionally on her own. Joan became so used to moving that she never fully unpacked all the boxes. After the Air Force Joan and Doug settled in Orangevale, Ca. From there her three boys all graduated college, found jobs, got married, and started their own families. While living in Orangevale her hobbies were dancing, walking, and scrapbooking before it was fashionable. Interestingly, if we have the dates correct, Joan and her father shared the same birth and death dates, but different years of course. Joan and Douglas Sr. were believers in Jesus Christ but were not church joiners. For the last few years she lived with dementia and was well cared for at the La Vida of Mission Viejo Assisted Living Memory Care Facility close to her sons. She suffered well and was sarcastically fun spirited to the end. God bless Joan, Douglas Sr., and their entire family. Rest in Peace.
