ved in Iowa City and Coralville until moving to Humboldt in 1997 where Jim worked as a computer programmer for the family business until retiring in 2016. The couple also served as volunteers with the Fort Dodge Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses from 1997-99, and the Algona Congregation since 1999. Beginning in 1992, the couple also volunteered to work with the Regional Building Committee of Jehovah's Witnesses, sharing in building Kingdom Halls in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin. Bonney worked for several years with the Landscaping Crew and later on, helped the Accounting Crew. Bonney is survived by her husband, Jim, of Humboldt; her daughter, Persephone (Douglas) Nerge of Grayslake, Illinois, and grandchildren Andromeda and Orion; sisters, Anne Grucza of Orono, Maine, Deborah (Doug) Peyret of Yuba City, California, and Cindy (Joe) Randall of Grass Valley, Calif, one brother, Rick Lee of Nevada City, Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. She and her family were lovingly assisted in her final days by the nurses and volunteers of Unity Point Hospice in Fort Dodge. Bonney will be remembered for her love of people, her generosity, and her volunteer spirit. She also had a love for God's creation. She was an avid bird watcher, a gardener and a traveler. She never tired of reading and learning.
