She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, riding ATV's, bowling, mushroom hunting, gardening, boating, watching her hummingbirds, attending her grandchildren's activities, and spoiling her beloved dog Cooper. Those left to honor her memory include her husband Bill Turnis of Bernard, IA; a daughter, Amy (Kevin) Gassmann of Holy Cross, IA; step-children, Jeff (Shirley) Turnis of Bernard, IA, Rick (Lucinda) Turnis of Cascade, IA, Deann (Rick) Bergfeld of Bernard, IA, Amy (Duane) Droeszler of Cascade, IA, Brian (Nicole) Turnis of Bernard, IA, and Traci (Adam) Rollinger of Cascade, IA; 18 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward (Carol) Small of Bernard, IA, and Richard "Rick" (Tammie) Small of Bernard, IA; and a sister, Janice (Paul) Ruggeberg of Maquoketa, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, a son Scott Ruggeberg on August 27, 1997, and a brother James Small on November 23, 2014.
