Mriko J. Mrdalj

Mirko Mrdalj, 61, of Waterloo, died Sunday, June 17 at Covenant Medical Center. He was born November 20, 1956 in Knin, Croatia, son of Nikola and Jelena Mrdalj. He married Neda Mrdalj on May 6, 1995 in Croatia. Mirko worked as a construction worker until becoming employed with Tyson Fresh Meats, he remained there until his retirement. Survived by: his wife of Waterloo; a daughter, Ljiljana Mrdalj of Waterloo; two brothers, Jovan (Mara) Mrdalj of Serbia and Drago (Zorka) Mrdalj of Croatia. Preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Zivko Mrdalj and a sister, Dragica Sasic. Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 23 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Public visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
