David Albahary, 53 of Rhinebeck passed away from pancreatic cancer on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Beloved father and husband, he is survived by his wife, Suellen; daughters, Serena and Elaine; sister, Suzanne D'Amato of Bedford, NH; brother, Scott of New Hope, PA; 20 nieces and nephews; extended family; dog, O'Malley and cats, Buster and Phoenix. He is pre-deceased by his parents Robert and Mary Lou Albahary of Rocky Hill, NJ.
David was born on May 19, 1965 in Rocky Hill, NJ where he attended Princeton Day School. After graduation from Skidmore College, he worked as a media buyer at Blair Television. He then made the transition to financial services, working at Charles Schwab in Manhattan where he earned his CFP.
In 2004, David founded Ivy Ridge Asset Management, an independent investment advisory firm. In addition to managing his clients' assets, he focused on retirement and college planning. He moved his business to Rhinebeck in 2006.

unteer commitments including: Rotary (past president), Rhinebeck Science Foundation (past treasurer), Ferncliff Forest (board member), Rhinebeck Ethics Committee, assistant coach in the Rhinebeck Soccer League and founded the short lived, but always fun Rhinebeck Squash League.
Dave had a great love of family, friends, and sports.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Rhinebeck on Sunday, June 24th, 2018 from 3 to 6 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Messiah in Rhinebeck on Monday, June 25th, 2018 at 10 am. Interment will be private.
