season. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially long road trips with his buddies, fishing, riding horses and mules, boating on the river, and camping, especially at lake Rathbun. He enjoyed the outdoors and being on his ranch. He delighted in spending time with his family and friends.
His family includes his three daughters, Amanda Schroder of Knoxville, Melissa Van Dusseldorp of Pella, and Stephanie (Brian) Hart of West Des Moines; eight grandchildren, Mackenzie Klyn, Blake Schroder, Chloe Champ, Remington Schroder, Zaide Soto, Kolbie Van Dusseldorp, Sidnie Van Vark, and River Bloodsworth; one great granddaughter, Hayden Klyn; two brother, Rodney (Sherri) Myers of Evans, twin brother, Jerry (Kim) Myers of Oskaloosa; two sisters, Deborah Myers and Kim Johnson both of Ottumwa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for Terry will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa. As was Terry's wish his body has been cremated. Burial of the urn will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel in in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Monday after 11:00 a.m. in the Bates Funeral chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5:00 - 7:00 to greet friends relatives.
