irement; he always wanted to leave his farm ground in good condition. Arlan was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars for 57 years. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Farmers CO OP in Craig for nine years. He coordinated the Pioneer Christmas activities for a number of years. He enjoyed dancing with dancing friends and going to coffee with his coffee friends. In May 2018, Arlan celebrated 29 years of sobriety and had spent these last 29 years helping others in the AA program.Arlan is survived by his wife, Rose; sons: James (Sandy) Heeren and their children Tucker and Grace, and Douglas (Vicki) Heeren and their children Sister Mary Consolation of the Afflicted-Michelle and Jessica (Jeff) Brady; great grandsons: Issac and Isaiah Brady; and other extended relatives.Arlan is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Esther; brother, Gary; and nephew, Nick.
