Ann was a former member of Clear Lake United Methodist Church, member of Zion Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was on the wedding committee. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and charter member of Hospice of North Iowa, where she proudly volunteered her time.
Jo Ann's greatest love was her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's performances and sporting events, sewing, reading, and watching the Chicago Cubs, boxing and roller derby.
Jo Ann is survived by seven children, Denise (David) Clipperton of Cedar Falls, IA, Daniel (Kathy) Huey of Atlantic, IA, Dawn (Larry) Richardson of Creston, IA, Duane (Nadine) Huey of Grants Pass, OR, David (Donna) Huey of Yachats, OR, Drew "Tim" (Mary) Huey of Nora Springs, IA, and Dustin (fiancé, Heather Datema) Huey of Clear Lake, IA; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Somers of Burnsville, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Terry Sue Jennings and Javotte Gorton; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Gorton.
