Robert J. "Bob" Alcorn, 70, of Waterloo, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at Friendship Village (Lakeview Landing) of natural causes. He was born February 19, 1948 in Evansdale, the son of David and Viola Koschmeder Alcorn. He was a 1966 graduate of Waterloo East High School. Robert married Pansy Larsen on February 5, 1972 in Hampton.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Robert worked as a Tool & Die Maker, Inspector and most recently as a Purchasing Agent for Schoitz Engineering. He retired in 2010 after working 44 years. In 2001 he was ordained as a Pastor for the Church of God International.
Bob enjoyed gardening, golf, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was devoted to serving God and his family.
Survived by: his wife, Pansy of Waterloo; one son, Allen (Angie) Alcorn of Waterloo; one daughter, Shari (Darren) Cary of Waterloo; two grandsons, Dylan and Jesse Alcorn; one brother, David (Rita) Alcorn of Whitsett, North Carolina and one sister, Diane Trumbauer of Homosassa, Florida.
Preceded in death by: his parents; one sister Ina Goff and two brothers-in-law, David Trumbauer and Charlie Goff.
