iberation of the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. During WW2 Harold was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
On returning back to the states at wars end, Harold was united in marriage with Eloise (Crispin) Morrison on the Crispin farm north east of Jordan, Iowa. The couple settled in Boone, Iowa where Harold worked at Garretson Electric and they started a family; then moving on to Ft. Dodge in 1952 where his family grew while he worked for Kennel's, the Hieman Company, then ultimately Equitable Insurance until his retirement.
Harold was very active in his community and church; organizing and serving in Boy Scouts as troop leader, serving on various boards and civic organizations and participating in Gideon's, Jail Ministry and teaching in Sunday School.
Harold is survived by his children; son Marvin (Shirley) Morrison, Bruce (Georgeann) Morrison, and daughter Beverly (Sam) Ashton; two step-daughters Peg (Tim) Watson and Deb (Mark) Cullen; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, nine great-grand children, two step great- grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, brother Clarence (Esther Gene), wife Eloise, and second wife Pauline (Rhodes).
