had a class with at CSU, in January 1989. Their relationship developed at the Chilson Recreation Center in Loveland, where Ceri was employed and Jim spent countless hours playing basketball. They moved to St. Louis, MO in the fall of 1989 when Jim started school at Lindenwood. They were married on August 18, 1990. Both Jim and Ceri agreed that by their second date, they would be married. They were truly a perfect match and had a wonderful marriage.
Jim and Ceri returned to Loveland in 1991. In May 1996 they welcomed home daughter, Annika Lynne, and were blessed again with second daughter, Abby Jordan in June 1999. Jim took great pride in being an attentive father, fixing hair, volunteering in the classroom, playing catch in the greenbelt, helping with school projects, and more. His daughters were his pride and joy and he loved to spoil them. Jim attended every game the girls played and was most proud of their accomplishment playing college softball. In fact, Annika (Metro State University) and Abby (Chadron State College) played against one another in a series at Metro State University the weekend before Jim was diagnosed with cancer.
Jim worked at Quantum Corporation for 18 years and was the Vice President of Channel Sales. He was highly regarded and respected in the company, and he took wonderful care of those who worked on his team. Jim worked until two weeks before he passed. His commitment was unparalleled.
The Anderson's travelled frequently and had many wonderful trips around the country. Jim also liked to play golf, cards, and he loved the water. If there were a pool he would be in it from sun up to sundown. Jim was a big fan of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls and the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Jim was loved by everyone he came in contact with. He knew no strangers. "Big Jimbo" loved those in his circle fiercely.
Jim is survived by his wife, Ceri Anderson; daughters Annika and Abby Anderson; father, Mel Anderson and his brother David (Jane) Anderson. He had a special relationship to his in-laws, Chris and Eunice Holthusen; and his sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Bill Kurtz. Jim also loved his nephews and nieces, Jared and Jonathan Anderson, Amy and Jay Roup, and Matt and Andrea Kurtz. He had a soft spot for his great nephews and niece, Callan, Lane and Quinn Roup and Carter Kurtz as well as his wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins and many wonderful friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Anderson; and his grandparents Melvin and Irene Anderson, and Walton and Luella Davidson.
