d three children, to whom they were loving and devoted parents. Lois was a stay at home mom, nurturing and raising the kids until the early 1970's when she returned to work as a secretary to several executives at White Farm Equipment.
When we remember mom we think of a selfless person who professed Jesus Christ as her savior, was consistently of good nature and judgement, and was always loving and encouraging.
Mom was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. She relished her relationships at church, with her classmates, neighbors on 6th Avenue, and many other friends and relatives. We will be forever thankful for those who enriched her life with their friendship.
Lois is survived by her three children, Mark (Rhonda) Hobert, of Clive, Iowa, Ben (Ann) Hobert of Westwood Hills, Kansas, and Karen (Joe) Taft of Riverside, Iowa; six grandchildren, Meredith (Adam) Reyna, Mallory Hobert, Lyle Gardner, Joan Gardner, Hannah Hobert and Henry Hobert; and one great grandchild, Elizabeth Reyna.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, sister Arlene Menzie, grandchild Ryan Weintz, and many other loved ones.
