ors and for more than 20 years was on the advisory board of the Delta Chi Fraternity. He sang for decades with the Old Capitol Chorus, Iowa City's chapter of barbershop singing. And a passion that gave him a lifetime of deep happiness was spending time with his fishing rod, "wetting a line" on the waters of a small pond in Iowa City, a quiet trout stream in Wyoming, or anything in between. In addition to Carolyn, Dick's surviving family includes his sons Scott Duncan and wife Marni of Healdsburg, CA; Peter Duncan and his wife Sheri Oleson-Duncan of San Diego, CA; daughter Melanie Holden and her husband Richard Holden of Kansas City, MO; and his twin brother Robert Duncan of Santa Rosa, CA. His grandchildren are Kaitlin Duncan Santini and her husband Rob Santini of Santa Monica, CA; Catherine Duncan of Richmond, CA; Jennah Lintz of Pasadena, CA; Erin Oleson Dickson and husband Shane Oleson Dickson of San Diego, CA; Whitney Lupo and husband Chris Lupo of St. Louis, MO; and Brian Holden of Kansas City, MO. His great-grand-children are Rumi Oleson Dickson, Cleo Oleson Dickson and Matthew Lupo. A memorial service for Dick Duncan will be planned for when the weather warms and the fish start to rise.
