maha, receiving a BA degree with a major in history. He earned a Master's Degree in Library Science at the University of Minnesota. Greg worked in the Mason City and Cedar Rapids areas until health problems prevented him from continuing.
He loved to read and had a large collection of books which he not only read but reread many times. He was especially interested in history and biographies. Travel books and films were very enjoyable for him.
Faith and Church were important to Greg his whole life. He was a former member of the church choir and was a lector at church for many years. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
Greg enjoyed volunteering at the local nursing homes. He showed many travel films there. He also read jokes to patients and led the Rosary regularly.
Mr. Foley was preceded in death by his parents and his aunts Edna Foley, Genevieve Foley, and Helena (Fay) Foley, and Catherine Wenzel; and also his uncles Francis Foley, William McManus, and Clarence Wenzel.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Foley and wife Rita, his aunt Julie McManus, and his only niece, Kristi Skinner and her husband Michael, and their sons Charlie, Ben, and Will, and numerous cousins.
