f Adjustment, six years on the Burlington Area Development Corporation and was a charter board member of the DMC Regional Waste Commission. Dick and Bea enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and partying with their friends. Dick hunted and fished in his younger years. He became interested in sailing and raced sailboats on the Mississippi River from Dubuque to Keokuk as well as on several lakes. He built several small boats and rebuilt several medium sized sailboats. He built a forty-four foot, steel hulled sailing yacht which he sailed in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Survivors include his four children; Marsha Peters of Fraser, Colorado, Patricia Nelson of Burlington, and Kevin Logan and Matthew Logan both of West Burlington; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Phelps of Florida, Martha Ruebush of North Carolina and Sharon Rich of Illinois; one brother Thomas Logan of Puerto Rico; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter Billie Logan, one son Henry Logan and two sisters Kathryn Williams and Norma Jean Mesecher. A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice House and the West Burlington Fire Department.
