John "Jay" LiCausi, 60, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Tamarac, Florida.
Jay was born in New Jersey to Nancy and Joseph LiCausi on June 28, 1958. He went to school at Lynbrook High School in Lynbrook, New York and graduated from Nassau Community College.
Jay was a musician and played the bass guitar for many bands in South Florida. After suffering a stroke in 2011 that left him blind, his passion for music along with his band mates, gave him a positive outlook and helped him cope with his blindness. He went on to learn to appreciate life and displayed this appreciation through music. He continued to play and love music until his sudden death.
Jay is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy, his father, Joseph and his brother Michel.
Jay is survived by his sister, Joanie, his nieces, Lizanne, Coley and Michelle and his nephew Eric.
Jay will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
