ss country road trip to visit a relative. Serving in the military was very important to him and his family. He made two trips to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials. His first was with his sons and his last was with the Honor Flight honoring Korean War Veterans.
His family includes his six children, Mike (Wendy) Luzadder of Swanee, Tennessee and Brenda (Harold) Evans of Etowah, Tennessee, John Lee (Tammy) Longcor of St. Roberts, Missouri, Jim Longcor of Marion, Iowa, Joe (Julie) Longcor of Searsboro, and Jerri Longcor of Hiawatha; thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a brother, Harry Luzadder of Oskaloosa; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Sandra; Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Charles Luzadder, Frank Luzadder, James Luzadder, Earnest Luzadder, George Luzadder, and William Luzadder; and three sisters, Loraine Chilcolte, Amanda Platt, and Florence Fisher.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating. As was Harvey's wish his body will be cremated following the funeral ceremony, and burial of the urn will be at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Friday after 1:30 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5-7 Friday evening to greet friends and relatives.
