Martha Lucille Davis

Martha Lucille Davis, 81, formerly of Promise City died Sunday night at Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born to Bastian J. and Hulda P. (Wymore) Andeway on July 7, 1922 at What Cheer, Iowa. She married Joe Riley Davis on August 24, 1946 in Centerville. The two moved to the Promise City area in early 1940's. Lucille was a member of the Jones Helpers Club. Her loves were family, home, and music. Lucille is survived by a daughter, Jo Linda Schlesselman and her husband Allan of Parnell, Iowa, two sons; Mark Davis and his wife Joanne of Brooklyn, Iowa and Jamison Davis and his wife Tammy of Promise City, Iowa; one brother Lloyd Andeway of Centerville, 9 grandchildren; Eric Schlesselman and his wife Cindy of Williamsburg, Iowa, Matthew Schlesselman of Williamsburg, Iowa, Natalie Schlesselman of Parnell, Iowa, Kimberly Dodd and her husband Ryan of Grinnell, Iowa, Russell Davis of Waterloo, Iowa, Tamara Salladay and her husband Cody of Bloomfield, Iowa, Evan, Ratha and Ethan Davis of Promise City, Iowa; 3 great grandchildren; Preston Dodd, Anna and Sarah Schlesselman.
