Carol Overturf

Carol Overturf, age 65 of 22716 458th St., Centerville died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born February 19, 1939 at Centerville the daughter of Arnold Hedberg and Rose (Azzoline) Hedberg. She married James L. Overturf Nov. 4, 1965 at Las Vegas, NV and he survives. She was raised in Centerville and graduated from Centerville High School in 1956. She worked for the Meredith Corp, then worked in Los Angeles at Atlantic Research where she met her husband. From 1965 until 1989 she traveled with her husband Jim with his job. She and Jim bought a farm in Appanoose County in 1975 where they started to make their home. She started working for Jim Milani at the Milani Law Firm in 1989 and worked there for 10 years. She was an avid genealogy researcher and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Jim, a sister Nancy Riddick of Centerville. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday afternoon June 10, 2004 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Fr. Bill Miller C.PP.S. officiating.
