its women's activities. she taught Sunday School and served as Sunday School Superintendent. She was a member of the Wenonah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Nor-Win Lodge of Sons of Norway. Julia is survived by her sons: Kent L. Jacobson, Ross (Gloria) Jacobson, and Bern (Becky) Jacobson; nine grandchildren: Brent, Ruth (Derek), Heather, Rachel (Chris), Aaron (Lan), Jessica (Eric), Ellen (Jon), and Abby (Matt); 7 great grandchildren: Tawny, Naomi, Hailey, Isabella, Sophie, Sophia, and Amelia, and sister-in-law JoAnn Grant. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kent A. Jacobson, brother, John Grant at Iwo Jima in World War ll, her sister, Jeanette Collen, brother, Logan Grant; daughter-in-law Barbara Jacobson; and grandson Mark Jacobson. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson with the Rev. Luther Mathsen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
