g in medicine and felt a strong calling to helping others. David was a member of Christ the King Parish. The most important thing to him was spending time with his family and making memories. His love for fishing was infectious and quickly became his family's love. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, spending time grilling and relaxing in his backyard, swimming, tending to his garden, cooking, watching movies, reading, and was a prolific writer and poet. He was an avid fan of Iowa Hawkeyes Football after playing the sport in college. He thoroughly enjoyed watching the games with his family. David is survived by his wife, Teresa Johnson; daughters, Shelly Johnson of West Des Moines, IA, Nicole (Joshua) Roth of Waukee, IA, Crissi Johnson of West Des Moines, IA; grandchild, Brayden Roth; sister, Elaine (Keith) Armstrong of Spotsylvania, VA; brother, Ken (Vickie) Johnson of Walworth, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys Johnson, and sister, Kay Wright. A private family service will be held in the future.
