My mother, Fontaine Alexander, died peacefully on August 31, 2018. My mother was a caring, happy, hard-working woman. She always was positive, kind and thought about others before herself. She would go out of her way for perfect strangers, always looking at the good in people. She was strong willed, loved dealing with people (being a waitress most of her life), and found joy serving everyone she was in contact with. She made everyone feel better seeing her smile. My mother was either knitting, sewing or painting. Her ability to do all three things were remarkable. Whenever someone in the family had a baby, my mother would knit a blanket or a sweater. That brought her happiness, seeing the other person's reaction.
My mother was sweet, understanding and gave love to everyone around her. I was so fortunate to have her in my life for 69 years. God gave me an angel, and I know she is with my father, the love of her life. I had the privilege of taking care of my mother for seven years of her life. I will always remember her smile, her patience and how she loved unconditionally.
God bless you, Mom. I love you will all my heart and soul.
Love your son,
Richie
