In 1998, pursuing her passion for social justice, Sister Anne Louise moved to Washington, DC and became involved in the Jubilee movement to cancel the debts of the world's poorest countries as well as being involved with the Africa Faith and Justice Network. Deeply respected for her critical thinking skills and strong sense of values, Sister Anne Louise was a healing presence at the U.S. Catholic Mission Association (USCMA) until 2014. Reflecting on her 50 years as a Medical Mission Sister in 2004, Sister Anne Louise shared, "I feel much gratitude - gratitude especially to the Spirit who has led me in her gentle, sometimes powerful way through the highways and byways of life." Never flagging in her love for the mission and vision of MMS, Sister Anne Louise maintained a leadership role on her Community's investment committee and was a member of the MMS North American finance committee at the time of her passing.
