there will be a Rosary prayed at 5 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m.
The casket will be moved to St. Augustine Church in Halbur on Saturday morning, where visitation will resume from 9:30-10:15 a.m.

Leo Julian Bruch was born on August 22, 1935 in Carroll, Iowa; the son of Arthur and Regina (Grossman) Bruch. He grew up near Arcadia, and graduated from St. John's High School. On June 25, 1957 Leo was united in marriage to Betty Haverman at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle. The couple lived near Arcadia, where Leo farmed with his brother.
In 1961 the couple moved near Templeton, and in 1969 they bought a farm south of Templeton; which became the Bruch Family Farm. Over the years Leo was active in grain and livestock production. Even after his retirement, he continued to help his sons in their calf barns.
He enjoyed farming, hard work, and helping others. He also appreciated working on and restoring Farmall Tractors. Leo was devoted to his faith, farm, and family. He had a deep dedication to the Rosary, carrying one at all times, and praying while he worked the land. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Templeton.
Left to celebrate Leo's life is his wife: Betty Bruch of Templeton; children: Bonnie (Mark) Wanninger of Manning, Linda (Myron) Danzer of Glidden, Karen Hackfort of New London, Wisconsin, Barb (Kevin) Tigges of Mt. Carmel, Jerry Bruch of Arcadia, Lori Crandell of Carroll, Danny (Sheryl) Bruch of Templeton; 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; siblings: Anita (Cyril) Venner of Maple River, Art Jr. (Rita) Bruch of Arcadia, Marvin (Rita) Bruch of Manning, Carol (Jim) Starman of Halbur; sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law: Velma Williams of Halbur, Coleen (Tony) Meiners of Carroll, Robert (Sue) Haverman of Ankeny, Diane (Tom) Subbert of Peoria, IL, Gary (Jeanne) Haverman of Bayard, Don (Mona) Haverman of Cedar Rapids, and Jo (Tony) Duke of Ankeny; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Leo was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanie Grace; sons-in-law: Dave Hackfort, and John Crandell; a great-granddaughter: Talia Bruch; his parents, Art and Regina Bruch, his parents-in-law: William and Alma Haverman; his siblings: Paul and his wife Darlene Bruch, Robert and his wife Lois Bruch; a sister-in-law: Annette "Toots" Haverman; brothers-in-law: Ray Williams, and Merlin Haverman.
