David "Doc" Ross Mempa Sr., age 65, passed away at home in Duvall, Washington on Sunday September 16th, 2018. He was born in Alameda, California on August 23rd, 1953 to Lanny and Arlene Mempa. Dave was also a skilled mechanic, always working on his Harleys, trucks, cars, anything with an engine. In the mid 80's Dave and his partner Aleta Budden with 3 of her 4 daughters Jana, Liane "Mae", Anna, and "Little" Davey moved to Thorne Bay, Alaska where he worked as a logger. Moving back to Duvall, Washington during the mid 90's Dave continued to play in bands, work on Harleys and hang out with his Brotherhood.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his brother Steven Mempa, sister Sharon Mempa and his favorite niece Aili Mempa, his previous wife Rebecca Osborne, longtime partner Aleta Budden and her 4 daughters Rori, Jana, Liane, and Anna, numerous cousins and his son Davey.

I loved you David with all my heart you were the first man that I loved and we had such a beautiful son David Junior he lit up our hearts like nothing ever had in the past or the future. His talents were beyond belief he played the guitar like no other he was a Stevie Ray Vaughan before Stevie Ray Vaughan a came on the sene .David loved his motorcycle and his buddies that he used to ride with and they all adored him. He was such a tease there wasn't a moment that he didn't make me laugh and he liked making me laugh when he tease me. we fell in love in 1972 and did everything in our power to get married and those were some happy years together Davy so little he adored his father and when he got a motorcycle Davey had to get a three wheeler and pretend he had a motorcycle also. David has now gone home to rest in peace with a lot of love and happy memories, David will never be forgotten. I love you David to this day and I pray that your mom met you at the gate in heaven when you went home. He always teased his mom like he teased me he like to shock people and make people laugh he was a good man one that tried to make it in this life and touched many people's hearts I hope you know how many people loved you David and how much you're going to be missed may you rest in peace eternally my forever love.❤
