er most recent projects were talented and creative painting on rocks, transforming them into animals. She recently received second place for her squirrel rock in the 3D Art Category at the Leading Age Regional Art Show, in Mt. Vernon. When Joan wasn't working on her craft projects or gardening, you could find her enjoying a good book or watching her movies.
Joan is survived by her children; Michelle (Michael Mutich) Manca, of Lorain, Scott (Elizabeth) Parr, of Mt. Vernon, OH, and Marie (Rob) Taft, of Amherst, her grandchildren; Elysia, Jason, Merisa, Adam, Michael, Taylor, and Scott, Jr., her 11 great grandchildren, and her sisters; Loretta (Richard) Minch, Mary Phillips, and Terri (Larry) Hotz, all of Cuyahoga County.
She was preceded in death by a son, Leslie Ellis Parr and her parents.
The family will receive friends on Saturday 9/29 from 10:00 am until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 am, at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
