Betsey Arline Clark Lambert, 91, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away September 25, 2018.
Betsey was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on January 30, 1927. She graduated from Salisbury State Teacher's College, now part of University of Maryland, January 31, 1947.
Betsey was married to David John Lambert, Jr. on Aug. 20, 1949.
Betsey taught elementary school for 25 years at Rock Creek Palisades, Twinbrook, Travilah, and Rosemary Hills in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Betsey had a passion for learning, crossword puzzles, and Scrabble.
Betsey was a member of Daughters of American Revolution (DAR), the Mayflower Society, the Huguenot Society, Descendants of Founders of Ancient Windsor, and Charlotte County Genealogical Society.
Betsey was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, David John Lambert, Jr. She is survived by Dianne (Bill) Strickler, Donna Lambert, Debra Beatty and David John Lambert III, as well as 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 30th at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Ave Punta Gorda, FL 33950
