onders, and the Nevada Masonic Lodge #99. John's hobbies included model railroading, fishing, woodworking, and music. He began playing drums for a Dixieland band as a freshman in high school. He later played with a country band. In 1980 he started his own bluegrass band Glorybound and then later formed Prairie Trail Bluegrass. Those left to cherish John's loving memory are his wife of 57 years Connie Johnson of Story City, IA; daughters Robin (Jeff) Collins of Nevada, IA, Phyllis (Dave) Minnehan of Churdan, IA, and Christine (Dave) Skinner of Zearing, IA; son-in-law Tim Adams of Eldora, IA; grandchildren Megan (Bobby Neilson) Collins, Amy (Jereme) Cox, Nathan Collins, Makayla (Devin) Bailey, Madilyn Minnehan, Josh (Allison) Minnehan, Jeffrey (Julia) Minnehan, Jackie (Tanner) Scheuermann, Aric (Suzie) Jurgensen, Claire, Mea, and Lili Skinner, Coltin (Michelle) Adams, and John Adams; great-grandchildren Lola and Jordan Cox, Tucker, Clara, and Gwen Bailey, Aubreigh and Owen Minnehan, Vincent and Alexia Minnehan, Sawyer Scheuermann, Sawyer Jurgensen, Savannah Deupree, and Victoria Adams. John was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jodi Adams, brothers Bobby and Larry Johnson, sister-in-law Beverly Johnson, and brother-in-law Eugene Christenson.
