Richard (Dick) T. Faulhaber, 82, of Dubuque, and formerly of DeSoto, IA, died on Wednesday, September 26, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, IA.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 28, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home at 3860 Asbury Rd in Dubuque, where there will be a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 29, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Hoffman Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, at The Church Of The Nativity, Dubuque, with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Father Brian Dellaert, Richard's oldest grandson, will officiate.
Dick was born March 21, 1936 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Thomas A. and Bernadine (Forbes) Faulhaber. He graduated from St. Ambrose Academy, and began his career in retail management, working for National Tea Company, Arden's, Per Mar, and Welter Storage Equipment. sh and a 3rd degree Knights Of Columbus. He always enjoyed fishing and most of all watching the Iowa Hawkeyes football team where he had season tickets for over 20 years.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 62 years Rosemary, 5 children, Debra (Gary) Dellaert of Dubuque, Mary (David) Coultas of Jacksonville IL, Tom (Brenda) Faulhaber LeClaire IA, Christine O'Keefe of Andover, MN, Robert (Jeanna) Faulhaber of Omaha NE., 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas A. & Bernadine Faulhaber, son in-law John O'Keefe, granddaughter Bernadette Faulhaber, and Father & Mother in-law Joe & Eleanor Conrad.
