Eugene L. Rokusek, 79, of Dubuque, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Fr. Eugene Kutsch will officiate. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Garden Mausoleum, Mount Calvary Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. Friends may greet the family from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, October 1 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Rd.
Eugene was born March 29, 1939 in Dubuque, the son of Joseph and Martha (Duehr) Rokusek. He married Clorinda Sarreo on August 5, 1959 in Malta. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2012.
He served his country with the U.S. Navy.
Eugene was employed at the Dubuque Packing Company and Dubuque Screw Products. He later owned his own business--Geno's Custom Steels, which provided knife sharpening for the packing house.

Rokusek of Dubuque, and Tony Rokusek of Dubuque; two brothers, Joseph (Karen) Rokusek of Dubuque, and Arthur (Karen) Rokusek of Asbury; his sister, Lorraine Kleinschrodt of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother in law, Robert "Bob" Kleinschrodt.
