She was very active in Girl Scouts for many years as a leader for Junior, Cadette and Senior troops; helping with the cookie sales and distribution; and organizing summer day camp. She also, represented the Shining Trail Council at the Girl Scouts National Conventions. She was awarded many times for her continued support and activity. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish and was a devote Catholic. Fran was a cancer survivor of more than 20 years. Fran is survived by daughters Cathy (Doug) Kaiser and Judy (Kerry) Klepfer both of Keokuk; son Larry (Mary) Sibbing of Hamilton, IL; Grandchildren: Jessica (Ed) Koehler of Keokuk; Tina (Dave) Fountain of Ankeny, IA; Nathan (Tara) Klepfer of Ashland, Mo; Elizabeth (Andrew) Gudgel of West Des Moines, IA; Emily (Bill) Watson of Glen Ellyn, IL; Danielle (Josh) Anderson of Keokuk; and Kendall (Cherish) Sibbing of Ivy Bridge, England. She was a great grandmother of 11: Breanna Fountain, Bailey Fountain, Ethan Koehler, Ben Fountain, Aidan Koehler, Joseph Gudgel, Anna Gudgel, Lennon Anderson, Lucy Gudgel, Faye Klepfer and Hattie Klepfer. Her surviving sisters Minnie Jo Glisan, Pat Wensing; and special family friend, Lou Mcintyre of Quincy, IL; and sister-in-law Lucille Orscheln of Hannibal, MO; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ken, her sister Cecilla "Ceal"" Timpe and brother, Ed Glanzman; brothers-in-law Harold Orscheln, Bob Timpe, Jack Glisan, and Paul Wensing; and a great niece. Visitation will be held at the DeJong-Greaves Celebration, 1212 Concert St., on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4 - 7 pm, with family meeting friends and family from 5 - 7 pm and Christian Vigil beginning at 7 pm. Catholic mass will be celebrated at All Saints Parish in Keokuk on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:00 am with Rev. Fr. Robert Lathrop officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic section of Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, IA, immediately following mass. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations or memorials may be made to FARA (Frederich's Ataxia Research Assoc.), Keokuk Area Community Foundation, All Saints Parish or Keokuk Catholic School; or the givers choice.
