Donna Mae McGurk, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Monday, October 1, 2018. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m., Friday, St. Jude Catholic Church by Rev. Mark Murphy. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. A Vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit with the family following the Vigil until 8 p.m., and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the church.
Donna is survived by her children: Mary Pat (Curt) Imerman of Knoxville, TN, Michael (Julie) McGurk of Ammon, ID, Roxann (Terry) Repstien of Amana and Terrance (Becky) McGurk of Aurora, CO; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francis on July 27, 1992; 1 brother; and 3 sisters.
Donna was born on July 8, 1928 in Williamsburg the daughter of Harry and Nellie Conrad Langlas and graduated from Marengo High School in 1946. On June 18, 1948 she married Francis McGurk at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Marengo. Donna was a secretary for the Linn County Sherriff's Department for many years. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
