Danny R. German

Danny R. German, 64, from Yates City, passed away at 7:05 p.m., on Thursday, October 11, 2018, in Elmwood. He was born February 6, 1954, in Canton, Illinois, the son of John Bernard and Laverne (Stockham) German. He married Jill Tusek on June 12, 1976. Danny is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Jill; two sons, Bo (Rachel) German and Bret German (LeErin Humbracht); one daughter, Brooke German (Jessee Skaggs); three grandchildren, Katy, Dylan, and Aiden German; mother, Laverne German; mother-in-law, Judith Tusek; two brothers, Ben (Terri) German and Tim (Stephanie) German; one sister, Sandy (Don) Peckham; and one brother-in-law, Joey (Patty) Tusek. Danny was preceded in death by his father, John German, and father-in-law, Joe Tusek. Danny worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 40 years and was a proud member of UAW 974. He retired in 2012. Danny was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed classic cars, especially his Ford Mustangs. Danny was happiest spending a day at the beach with his family. Danny's request was to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Maple Lane Country Club. Memorials may be made to B....[more]
