Darlene Ridding

Darlene Ridding age 71, of Centerville, Iowa passed away January 30, 2008 at her granddaughter's house in Los Angeles, CA. Darlene was a very thoughtful and caring mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and best friend. She was kind to everyone who came in contact with her, and always put others first and was always honest with everyone. Darlene was born November 18, 1936 in Centerville. As a life long resident, she was known throughout the community, admired and adored by everyone. With her dedication to her family, she spent her years as a mother and homemaker. She also was a housekeeper for many Centerville residents, including Grismore family, Lynetta Whales and Mr. Senior. Darlene was also a devoted member of the Second Baptist Church and very active in her families lives. Darlene enjoyed watching her family put in the vegetables garden, a fond memory of her grandchildren. Dedicated to her children she attended to the special needs of her daughter Cheryl Ridding. Never selfish she always found time to listen to her music. She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence Brooks and Freddrick Ridding, a son Craig Eugene Ridding, one daughter Barbara Ridding, two sisters, Helena Jackson and Rose Baugh.
