Pauline M. Bowers

Pauline M. Bowers, age 94, passed away October 10, 2018, at Risen Son Christian Village. Pauline was born June 29, 1924, in Strawberry Point, Iowa to the late William J. and Margaret M. (Hines) Carnicle. She was a graduate of Edgewood High School with the class of 1940. Pauline was united in marriage to Francis Bowers on June 11, 1941. She worked for over 20 years at Iowa School for the Deaf, retiring in 1987, as their Food Service Supervisor. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, playing cards with her grandkids, cooking, reading and walking. After retiring, Pauline walked five miles every day, rain or shine! In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Francis on 10-14-1977; infant son, Eugene; grandson, Steven; great-granddaughter, Marissa Rose and 8 siblings. Survivors include daughters, Cheryll (Dick) Dickinson, Sheila (Rocky) Rubink, all of Council Bluffs, Teresa (Rob) Dilts of Omaha, Kathy (Ron) Braddock of Sacramento, California; sons, Ken (Marjorie) Bowers of Strawberry Point, Iowa, Dennis (Maxine) Bowers of Independence, Iowa; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; sister, Gloria (Don) Bu...[more]
