Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Purdum of Burlington; a son, Richard (Deb) Goble of Burlington; grandchildren, Lisa (Craig) Neises of Burlington, Michelle (Mark) Putnam of Burlington, Daniel (Shawna) Purdum of Burlington, Zachary Goble, of Burlington, Jeshua (Troy) Goble-Woods of North Liberty; great grandchildren, Benjamin (Rachel) Putnam of Colorado, Jenna Putnam (C.J.) of New London, Scott Purdum, Emmalee Purdum (Joey), Tanner Purdum and Will Neises, all of Burlington, James Goble and Aubrey Goble of California ; great-great grandchildren Eli, and Branton; nieces Pauline Lowther, Shirley Jackson and Mary Tabbert, and nephews Wesley Stout and Charles Stout. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, two brothers, son-in-law Dennis Purdum, and by his special friend of 30 years, Maxine Staub. A memorial has been established for the Mississippi Valley Veterans Memorial.
