Devon McCorkle

Devon McCorkle of Austin, Texas and formerly of Centerville, Iowa passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Devon was born April 6, 1990, the son of Rebecca Thomas and Tim McCorkle in Fort Hood, Texas. He was known as being a loving and caring young man. Devon loved to fish, hunt, wrestle and play football. He was employed as a welder in Austin, Texas. He leaves behind his mother, Rebecca (Moorman) Thomas and husband Tim of Fenton, Missouri; a brother, Nick Thomas of Mystic, Iowa; father, Tim McCorkle of Austin, Texas; grandparents, Fred and JoAnn Moorman of Mystic, Iowa; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Holly Oden and Pastor David Welch officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa. A visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home with family present from 6-8 PM.
