Sam Wagner, 96, of Brighton, passed away on October 21, 2018. He was born on April
7, 1922 in Hudson, Colorado to Philip and Mary Elizabeth (Wolfe) Wagner. Sam
attended schools in Tonville, Colorado. He married Irene Tautfest Wagner on August 31,
1947 in Brighton, Colorado.
Sam owned and operated his own farm all of his life. He was an Army veteran serving in
WWII, involved in the Southern Philippines Liberations receiving the Philippine
Liberation Service Medal with one bronze star, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Service medal
and Victory medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), along with a good
conduct medal.
Sam was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Northglenn, Colorado and a lifetime
resident of Brighton, Colorado. He was a successful farmer well into his 90's in Adams,
Washington and Arapahoe counties. He was a faithful, generous man who loved his
wife and family dearly and was committed to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

NM, Jordan (Annabelle) Bruns of Denver, CO, and Jaclyn (Brandon) Patterson of Santa
Rosa, CA; three great-grandchildren, Savannah and Preston Wagner, and John Harvey

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 26, 2018 at 5:45 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service
will be on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. both at Tabor- Rice Funeral Home,
Brighton. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton.
