Jose C. Ramirez-Alvarez
Jose "Chon" Ramirez-Alvarez, 70, of Roggen, Colorado passed away on October 18, 2018. Jose was born on March 8, 1948 in Durango, Mexico to Carlota (Holguin) and Hilario Ramirez.
Jose married Petra (Barraza) in May 1964 in Durango, Mexico. Jose worked for the Grain Elevator in Roggen for over 30 years and retired in 2008. He had lived in Roggen area since the early 70's. Jose loved to watch and bet on the dogs. He loved to cook for his family, was known for cooking chicharrones for parties, in the Roggen, Keenesburg and Hudson area. Loved his music, dancing and his family.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Hilario and Carlota; and one sister, Victoria.
Jose is survived by his spouse Petra of Roggen; five daughters Juanita Ramirez of Keenesberg, Gloria Ramirez of Commerce City, Trini Ramirez of Roggen, Angela Ramirez of Arvada, Mayela Ramirez of Denver; his nine siblings, Guadalupe, Merced, Rafael, Eva, Miguel, Lalo, Marielena, Luz, Irene; 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home at 4:30 pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm
