Catholic Church in Oskaloosa. He was a server and Eucharistic Minister for many years at the church. He was always willing to raise his hand and volunteer to help those around him. Family was a huge priority for Anthony, he would make it a point to visit everyone in his family when he was home on leave. He enjoyed working on cars and was a talented mechanic.
His family includes his wife, Olivia Nimtz Fowler of Charleston, South Carolina; his parents; Doug and Pamela Nimtz of Oskaloosa; his brother: Taylor (Katelynn) Nimtz of Newhall, Iowa; his sister, Cassie Nimtz of Oskaloosa; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Hunold of Houghton, Iowa; his paternal grandfather, Maurice Nimtz of Sigourney; aunt and uncles, Brian and Patty Nimtz of Oskaloosa, Shari and Dave Naughton of Des Moines, and Amy and Jim Van Gundy of Carlisle; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Julie Nimtz.
Funeral services are pending at the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa.
