Mary's Catholic Church in Oskaloosa where she had been active in the choir when she was younger. She enjoyed sewing, reading and listening to music.
Her family includes her son in law, Joel Illian; two grandchildren, Amber Illian and John Illian; two great grandchildren, Nathaniel Illian and Ivy Jade Illian; cousins, Lawrence Mason, Mary Elizabeth (Gene) Moniz, and Tim (Linda) Monich; niece and nephews, Michael Denney, Patrick Denney, Christopher Denney and Eva Denney Jackson and families.
In addition to her husband Daryl, Rosemarie was preceded in death by her son John Denney; a daughter, Maxine Illian; a half-brother, Roy Ernst; and half-sisters, Beata Hockel and Marjorie Knutson.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oskaloosa with Reverend Tom Spiegel officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5-7 Tuesday evening to greet friends and relatives. The Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Northern Mahaska Specialty Care.
