he city judge for some time. He loved going to Friday night football games, his kids' track meets, Lion's Club activities, men's breakfast at church, and volunteering any spare time for the community. He was a hard working man and jack of all trades, loved to buy and sell used cars, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He ended his working career driving all around the area selling cleaning chemicals and making friends.
Walter and Mary decided to move to San Angelo in 2003 to be closer to some of the grandchildren, where he drove a school bus part time until he retired. He then kept himself busy going to grandkids' activities, Lions Club and church, and keeping the yard and garden looking pristine.
He was most remembered by his gift of great story telling and sense of humor and loved telling anyone who would listen to his jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Jack. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 56 years Mary, daughter Margaret De'Niece Williams, son Michael Rauch, daughter Leah Rauch, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
